DR LENNARD CHAN - SINGAPORE MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Dr Lennard Chan was chief of plastic surgery with the United Family Healthcare Group in China at the Beijing United Family Hospital, where he was based for 4 years before returning to Singapore to focus on non-invasive aesthetic treatments.
His practice encompassed general plastic surgery with a large proportion devoted to clinic-based aesthetic services, from scar revision to laser / light-based therapies, non-invasive soft tissue contouring and injections in the form of Botox and Fillers.
With extensive experience in aesthetic treatments and plastic surgery over the last 20 years, Dr Chan served the expatriate community and many local well-heeled Chinese looking for foreign medical expertise.
He regularly contributed to the Beijing United Family Hospital and Clinics Quarterly Newsletter from 2012-2016 with the following articles: “Sculpting the Face without the Knife”, “Smoothing Your Wrinkles Away”, “Pregnancy: Dealing with Stretch Marks and C-section Scars”, “Bothered by wrinkles?" and “Liposculpture”.
Having completed basic surgical traineeship in Singapore many years ago, Dr Chan chose to pursue plastic surgery in the UK where he trained and worked in leading centres in London and Glasgow. This was complemented with the pursuit of a deeper understanding of Light and Lasers (Level 4 BTEC Award) and clinical research culminating in an MSc from Cardiff University. He completed a Breast Reconstruction Fellowship in Birmingham, UK before moving to Beijing, China.
Throughout his career, Dr Chan has augmented his plastic surgery principles by participating in advanced courses in Botox, Fillers and other minimally-invasive aesthetic procedures like threadlifts, attaining the Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine. He continues to be at the forefront of the local aesthetic scene.
An enthusiastic skier, Dr Chan considers himself an international citizen, having lived and worked abroad for over 10 years in the east and the west. Now back home, he is still very Singaporean with his love of local hawker fare and the must-have sambal belachan.
